How to Keep Your Business Image Intact on Social Media
By Ben Johnson
You are honest, but that doesn’t mean all your competitors are honest as well. A lot of businesses owners, out of jealousy, try to hurt the reputation of their successful competitors when they feel that they won’t be able to compete with them. Since online social media is a powerful way to connect with people and promote your business, these evil-minded people exploit this resource to destroy the image of their ethical and decent competitors.
This is why you should prepare yourself and stop them from doing
anything unethical against you. Let’s now discuss how you can keep your business image intact on social media:
Create Accounts on Social Media Sites:
Creating your presence on social media sites is imperative. You may Google to get a list of such sites. However, some of the most famous sites are: MySpace, Stumble Upon, FaceBook, YouTube, etc. You may create accounts on all these sites literally in a matter of minutes only.
Remember, it is imperative that you create a high quality logo for your business and also ensure that your logo design is prominent on all social media sites along with your profile. It’s your logo that gives recognition to your business.
Begin the Work – Get Busy:
Once you sign-up, you need to start creating videos and fan pages to provide information about your business and products. Since it’s your business, you are the most suitable person to provide the most authentic information about your business.
One important thing that you must remember is that when you create a Fan Page, ensure that you clearly mention that it is the official Fan Page of your company. When you come across a fake page, created to distort your image, report it instantly.
Start Connecting:
After providing information about your business, you should now start adding people to your network. Add them to get to know them. Do not ever make their lives miserable by continuously posting links to your products. This will instantly get you labeled as a spammer. You join social media sites to expand your network and meet new people. Hence, care about your reputation and stay far away from spamming.
What Else?
You have now created your presence on social media and you are ready to track thugs and unethical marketers who may try to distort your reputation.
Set a Schedule:
You should be active on social media sites. However, set a specific time to search for competitors who may have created fake pages or videos to destroy your brand image. You may perform this activity once a week, when convenient for you.
This is a consistent process without an end. You have to remain active and continue searching for wrong information against your business.
