Words of Wisdom: Can Anyone Develop Intuition?
John always wondered how his wife managed to be “tuned in” all the time.
She often pick up the phone to answer it before it rang.
She sensed when a friend was having a tough day before getting a call or email.
She had a better idea of what the weather would be several days out than the forecast. They said this weekend the weather would be beautiful but she said the birds were preparing for a storm.
A fast-moving storm changed course and dumped rain on Saturday. Ellen and the birds had been right.
One day, Ellen turned right instead of left. John was irritated, because she KNEW which way to turn to get where they were going.
“I am following my intuition,” she told him.
Turns out they missed being involved in a multi-car accident because she went the “wrong way.”
John’s face lost color as he saw the accident on the news. “Your intuition was right,” he told his wife.
A knowing smile was her only response.
Another time, she turned down a perfectly good job offer because the company didn’t feel right, and a few months later, the company went bankrupt.
Magic, Miracle or Mainstream?
Her intuition seemed magical—even miraculous..
Was intuition a female gift, or could a logical-thinking guy like John develop it?.
If I could be half as tuned in, he thought, I’m sure some amazing things would start happening for me, too.
Can anyone develop intuition?
Today’s words of wisdom show you that anyone can develop your hunches or intuition.
Like any skill, it takes practice. And even a highly logical, left-brain dominant person can learn to open up to intuition.
It just takes practice.
Ways to develop your intuition:
1. Keep a pad and pen by your bed. When you awaken, after greeting the day with gratitude and stretching your body, write down 5 things you think will happen today. Before bed, circle your correct “hits.”
2. When the phone rings, before you look at the caller ID, guess who’s calling. Let the caller’s identity pop into your head. Note how many times you get it right every day.
3. Whenever someone pops into mind, take it as a sign to reach out. Call them or send a greeting. You receive this prompting for a reason.
4. Know and believe that intuition is your birthright. It makes no difference whether you are a man or a woman, old or young, spiritual or not spiritual. You are connected with Spirit or God or the Universe (however you choose to call it) at all times.
5. Affirm that you are becoming more intuitive, more tuned in, every day and notice that it is so.
6. Notice improvements in your intuitive hunches. reward yourself and express gratitude that you are becoming more and more aware.
