Now, when you think of a “book,” you probably have an image of something that’s 80 or 100 or 200 pages in your head, right?
And if you’re talking about a print book, for the most part, you’re going to have at least 44 pages. As an expert, it’s likely that you have plenty of articles, blog posts or other materials out there.
Things are different when you leave the world of print.
The most important factor is quality.
There’s an entrepreneur who is going around to people with lists and teaching their subscribers and customers how to publish a book in 20 minutes.
Fine. I’m all for speed if there’s quality.
BUT he’s teaching people to throw together private label rights articles that are both insubstantial and poorly written.
I’d rather you use YOUR words, YOUR articles, and YOUR expertise – AND publish a book fast!
Is that OK with you? (that’s NOT a rhetorical question!)
Focus on SERVING Your reader
If he suggested the would-be author reworked those pre-written articles and added some real “meat” to them PLUS add some of your own articles, that wouldn’t be the worst way to put a book together fast. It wouldn’t be my best recommendation, but it would work.
Be careful about anything you assemble, because slapping junk together and calling it a book is not a good business move.
You want your focus always to be upon serving the reader a truly good solution. Because in that way, you cause people to want more of what you offer – bigger and better solutions to their big problems!

Publishing a book on Kindle is incredibly easy. Just go to Kindle Direct publishing and follow instructions.
Amazon is wonderful about giving tutorials for everything from formatting to categories to covers. It’s just a matter of reading the screen and following directions.
Plus, any time you want, you can edit the book, cover, categories or any other information.
How to Publish a Book on Kindle is MORE than just filling out a form
While anyone can visit www.KDP.amazon.com, sign in with your Amazon.com login and get published in 2 days, there are so many things you can do to make sure that your ideal reader does MORE business with you.
These aspects of how to write a book that boosts your business include:
- a great, attention-grabbing title
- An appealing cover
- Good “copy” that describes the book
- The right categories
- elements inside the book that drive the reader to your website – and to YOU!
- and, of course, more.
Having your book on Kindle or in any other format is not just about being able to point customers to a link to make a sale.
Sure, you’ll make some money from the book, but that’s just pocket change, really. This is where I see so many authors get tripped up.
Never focus on the book royalties as a source of income. You’ll be chasing crumbs if you do.
The way any author TRULY becomes a profitable author is by writing a book that leads to more of the benefits you provide. This might be your products, coaching, or consulting
The best thing to do is to write the book such in a way that the reader feels so well served that he or she comes back to YOU and your business for more.
