Incredible people who have that special sparkle or “X Factor” quality are all around.  You may even be one of those magnetic people who inspire others (even if you don’t know it).

Perhaps you know someone who has been through a lot, and yet they’re unstoppable! That’s the X factor quality in action.

What Makes People Stand Out?

This week on Relationship Marketing 101 Radio,our guest was an amazing person with vision, passion and purpose.

Tim Bennett consistently takes inspired action to completion. He sets his sights on a goal and never lets up until he’s reached it.

Plus, he’s an all-around fabulous guy. 

Tim is growing his business by helping people in the Philippines grow theirs! Some people come to him wanting to be an entrepreneur.

Others are seeking employment where they know they will be valued as people and paid.

Tim Bennett is becoming a famous entrepreneur in the Philippines. His eyes are open for opportunity all the time.

Life tends to go his way. He is happy and optimistic. Life is good. He feels grateful all the time.

Was he just born this way, or can anyone develop passion, purpose and pizzazz?

There is a tendency for people to feel a sense of lack…to feel anyone who feels good about life had an easy road with no bumps and bruises.

Here’s the typical whine: “It’s easy for people like TIM to have life go his way all the time because (insert whiny story here).”

So let’s look at this supposedly ever-glorious life Tim led.

Twice in his life, he has been threatened with losing a limb – once to illness and later to a motorcycle accident.

He had and then lost a lot of money. He’s been through heartbreak, financial woes, and illness as much as anyone else. 

So no, his positive attitude didn’t come as the prize in a in a box of Cracker Jacks!

Tim found a Message in his mess

Like everyone with a pulse, Tim is on a hero’s journey. there are certain steps every hero in the making takes, only 1 of which is the glorious good times part!

He had his doubts and personal challenges to overcome, but he accepted his call to adventure.

The next steps along the hero’s journey are the Road of Trials.” Definitely, Tim went through a Road of Trials, as does any hero in the making. Nobody handed him “the perfect life, free of pain and suffering.”

Remember reading that he could be minus two limbs today?  He could have given an arm and a leg (literally) by listening to what the doctors said.

Tim could have let the doctors cut off his leg as a child. Doctors said he would never walk because of the disease. They said the treatments he would endure would be torture.

Yes, the therapy was horrific, and perhaps he might have escaped some pain by letting them cut it off.

But then, of course, he wouldn’t walk perfectly well with both legs attached today. To meet him now, you would never know what he endured.

A bad accident nearly cost Tim his arm, but he refused to let it go.

You never know what someone has been through when you meet them. So act with kindness!

Now, Tim is growing his own business and helping others reach their goals and dreams.

Thing is, he had to overcome some prejudice. He is British, not Filipino. That means he had to learn how to tell his story to the people in a way they would hear the heart behind his message.

Because of the economic conditions in the Philippines, the people tend to perceive themselves as the “have not’s” and foreigners as privileged.

So for him to be a popular guy, gaining increasing notoriety in the Philippines, is a big deal. It has been a journey!

He helped his girlfriend Bianca Santos get out of her dead-end job in a call center, where she was neither valued nor paid, into running her own business painting nails. Now she has beautified the nails of Miss World!

Absolutely not!
