If you celebrate Christ’s birth or simply a time of sharing with family on this day, Merry Christmas from the Story Lady and my family!
A few days ago, I went to one of our local attractions called Silver Dollar City near Branson, Missouri to see the 4 million lights, marvel at the singing tree with a fantastic light show, ride the Christmas Train and enjoy some treats. I went with my good friends Gary and Donna plus 2 new friends. We had a wonderful time, and I captured it on video.
This is a peak at our Silver Dollar City experience. I hope you enjoy it.
Visit www.SilverDollarCity.com to find out more about this wonderful attraction park. That’s the best place to go for information. They have wonderful festivals throughout the year, including a Gospel music festival, international fest and more.

How to Tell a Story As You Answer a SAQ “Should Ask Question”

Have you ever considered how much more powerful and PROFITABLE you will be when you apply storytelling for business to common business tasks such as answering FAQs?
Every industry has SAQs or “Should Asked Questions.” Whether your niche is golf, dog food, internet marketing, coaching or anything else, there are a dozen or more questions that people SHOULD ask you but don’t. Storytelling for business is the perfect complement to any SAQ. Here’s why.
I had a conversation with Perry Lawrence, Ask Mr. Video recently. We were talking about storytelling in videos. He thought about how powerful it would be to use storytelling to create one particular type of video.
“Yes, that is important,” I told him, “And have you considered how powerful it is to add a story to your SAQ videos?”
He hesitated, and I’m sure he was thinking that video storytelling in a format that should be no more than a couple of minutes would add too much time to a video. People’s attention span is so short these days that you have to do everything in 2 minute bites. Unfortunate, but true.
After a beat of silence, I asked Perry, “How about a demonstration that will take less than 90 seconds?”
Without hesitation, he answered, “Sure.”
This story (which I have already shared here on on ProfitableStorytelling.com) is how I answered his question about how to tell a SAQ story in video: Read More —>
Do You Think about How to Tell a Story that Prospers People? What Do the Stories You Tell Really Mean? Part 2

Do you think before you forward an email? Does it occur to you to look at the story being perpetuated in the virtual missive? Or do you just toss any old message around.
I love to share strategies for how to tell a story that magnetizes all the right people to you.
I love my friend Donna. I truly do. However, my friend drives me NUTS with her “God mails” and prayer chains. I believe in the power of minds and hearts united, but I simply don’t have the bandwidth for those “don’t break the prayer chain or you’re a horrid excuse for a human being” messages.
Yet every once in a while, I get an email that captures my attention. One in particular stopped me in my tracks because of the view of blindness it portrayed.
I’m sure the original sender simply chuckled about the marketing message. What about you?
When you think of how to tell a story, what do you think of this tale of the blind man.
