A 2-tier affiliate program is one that rewards you on 2 levels of sales. You earn commission for any sales you personally generate and you also earn a smaller commission when one of your referrals also becomes an affiliate and generates sales. Not all affiliate programs are 2-tier.

In the context of business and internet marketing, back end refers to the products/services that come after your initial product. It's the, "what comes next?" product or service. Do not create a product if you have nothing else to promote to those who buy it.
