Questions for Clarity

The following are questions that clients who come to me find helpful as you clarify your business vision. Answering these questions helps you formulate your core story – the story of you.

1. What experiences from your life made you want to do what you’re doing now?

2. Passion is your fuel. What passion made you want to transform your life?

3. Now it’s time to create your future…Where do you vision your business in 5 years? Be so specific you hear, see & feel it happening around you right now.

The Great Storytelling Formula Storytelling Template(TM)

Would it be useful to have a Storytelling Template™ that would help you create The Story of You – your Core Story? Sure it would! What I’m about to share is a proven, universally recognized story that will magnetize your ideal customers and contacts to you.

How do I know it’s a proven storytelling template? Because it is a simplified synthesis of the Hero’s Journey, which renowned mythologist Joseph Campbell showed is a constant through all cultures, all religions, and all people of all colors throughout all time. Relate this story to your own life and business:

1. Quest: I had a problem / I was dissatisfied / I wanted more, so I started searching…

2. Test: I survived trials and tribulations / took wrong roads/ searched and searched for the answer

3. YES!: At last, I found my solution / I figured it out and now I’m sharing it with you, because I cannot keep it to myself.

If what I shared touched your life & empowered your business, please leave your comments on my testimonial hotline toll free at 1-877-252-5062

Storytelling Template(TM) for how to tell a SAQ “Should Ask Question” story:

1. Setup: First, set the stage. “One of the questions I wish people would ask me about ____ is…”

2. Story: Show the reader why the question is a SAQ by sharing a story from your business. “An example is a conversation I have all the time…”

3. Summary: Teach the viewer how to avoid the problem you talk about in the SAQ. “When you ___, you can avoid ___” or “when you ___, you will have a much better chance of ___.”

4. Sizzle: Give a call to action that shows the viewer how to work with you. “Discover how to _____ at www YourDomain.com”

This is the Storytelling Template(TM) you can use to create your online bio.

  1. Tell something about how you started on your current path.
  2. Tie that event to your present life and business. Mention a book you have written or a key accomplishment.
  3. Share your mission or something meaningful about the people you serve.
  4. Share the benefit someone gets from working with you/hiring you.

When you read my story, you’ll notice these elements, which follow the Storytelling Template(TM) above:

  1. I share how I unknowingly took the first steps on my path to becoming  The Story Lady as a toddler when I invented skits and plays with my toys.
  2. Then all through life, people come up and tell me about their life without me asking. They even go out of their way, such as crossing the street or seeking me out to share their story.
  3. Next, I talk about the power and influence that telling your story and sharing your expertise in a book give you.
  4. Finally, I share that I teach entrepreneurs, visionaries and world-changers to connect with anyone through the power of storytelling.

You will need several versions of your bio, but this Storytelling Template is for you to use on your website. You can certainly feel free to add audio, images and video, as I did.
